How It Works

As an ExpertHelp Expert, you will be able to earn money as well as establish a reputation for yourself. You can set your own schedule and work as much or as little as you like. As an Expert, you receive tokens when a customer accepts your answer. One token is equivalent to one US dollar. Based on your current Expert rank, your payout will range from 25% to 50% of earned tokens. As you earn higher rankings your payout percentage increases.

Ranking System

Experts are ranked based on various factors such as the number of accepted answers they post and their reputation points. After completing the mandatory qualification period, all new Experts start off at the lowest level rank (Qualifying) and work their way up. Only Experts with a Qualifying rank who have also completed the steps in the Getting Paid section below can answer questions and earn tokens.

Getting Paid

If you are a United States resident, you must complete and return the IRS W-9 form, which you can download here. You can email it to: experts@experthelp.com.  As a US resident, you cannot earn tokens until this step is complete.

We use PayPal to send payments. Payouts are made on the first, third, and fifth Wednesday of every month. You must have a balance of $100 or more to receive a payout. If you do not have enough tokens at the time of payout, you accumulate earned tokens until you reach this minimum requirement.

Payouts made to Experts are considered non-employee compensation and may have tax implications for the Expert. If you are a US resident, your income will be reported to the IRS and an IRS 1099 form will be mailed to the name and address submitted in the IRS W-9 form. We suggest you consult a professional tax adviser if you have any questions or concerns about how this will affect your tax liability.

PayPal Payment Limitations.

Not all countries can receive payments via PayPal. Check the PayPal website to verify you can receive payments via PayPal before becoming an Expert.
